Amelie

Amelie is originally from the Chicagoland suburbs. She moved to Normal, Illinois to attend Illinois State University for her bachelors in Animal sciences. She is engaged to her high school sweetheart, Kyle. She is the proud owner of 2 cats, Mustard and Ankha, 1 dog, Nilla,and a large bearded dragon named Jerry Garcia. Outside of work, Amelie enjoys hiking, playing video games, and watching the Jersey Shore.

Karly has been with at POVC since 2021, assisting with Dr. Walsh (while Kayla was on maternity leave). Prairie Oak got to benefit from the experience she brought with her from both studying in to be a veterinary technician in Colorado and also working full time in Arizona.
Lexi
Receptionist
Lexi was born and raised in a very small town in southern Illinois. It was there that she discovered her passion for animals at a very young age. When she turned 15, she started working at an animal hospital and has been employed in the veterinary field ever since. Her household consists of 3 dogs- Ella, Bandit and Bullet, a rescue kitten named Zombie, 2 axolots- Oliver and Shadow, a rabbit named Moose, 2 guinea pigs, and a hamster named Chip. In her rare moments of free time, she enjoys reading and spending time outside playing with her dogs. Lexi and her husband Collin enjoy spending as much time together with their numerous 4- legged family. She is a little out- numbered, but wouldn't change it for anything. Lexi also takes in the occasional wild baby animal to feed until it can go back into the wild, or to one of our local re-habbers. (No one else ever volunteers for that job.)
Meredith

Meredith is a student at Illinois Wesleyan Univerity in Bloomington. She is currently studying for a Biology degree with a minor in Environmental Studies. Being Dr. Fraker's daughter, she has grown up at Prairie Oak and loves now the ability to work here as often as her busy schedule allows. She is a very nature-based person. All of her favorite activities include hiking, camping, reading, drawing, and traveling.
