Lexi was born and raised in a very small town in southern Illinois. It was there that she discovered her passion for animals at a very young age. When she turned 15, she started working at an animal hospital and has been employed in the veterinary field ever since. Her family consists of 2 dogs- Ella and Bandit, 2 axolots- Oliver and Shadow, a rabbit named Moose, and a hamster named Chip. She is a little out- numbered, but wouldn't change it for anything. In her rare moments of free time, she enjoys reading and spending time outside playing with her dogs.
Penny has been an assistant at POVC since 2004.
Lexie graduated from Illinois State University with an Agriculture degree in 2016. She has over 6 years of experience in the veterinary industry. She lives in Carlock with her husband, Alex. Also on their little farm is their German Shephard, Rylee (as seen in the picture as a puppy, she is now 70#) and 3 kitties: Schooner, Norma, and Whiskey. They hope to get some livestock on their farm in the near future! Working with large farm animals is her favorite kind of "work"!
Jessica grew up on a family dairy farm in Central Wisconsin. After attending the veterinary technician program at Madison Area Technical College, she moved to Teton Valley, Idaho. It was there that she worked with critters of all kinds for 6 years. She moved back to the Midwest to be closer to home. "My best friends have always had fur or scales or hooves. Animals and the people who love them, are what I live for."
